I am a rising senior at Windward School in Los Angeles. I became involved in politics after the 2016 presidential election, and I am focusing my attention on the gerrymandering of congressional districts, a process that does not seem fair to me. With congressional gerrymandering, politicians shape the boundaries of districts in ways that will benefit themselves and their party, at the expense of fairness, democratic ideals, and voters' rights. I feel this contradicts the central concept of our Constitution. Vote Better Sam is my effort to give voters the full power of their vote.
